FAQ

Why hasn't my check been cashed? Has my application been accepted?

Checks will be presented to the Mount Agamenticus Conservation Region after the race.  Check the entrant listing on this website to confirm that you are officially registered.

How do I get to the race?

Click here for a Google Map link with a directions button.

Where are the aid stations?

Water and Gatorade will be available at miles 5.2 and 8.1 of the 10+ mile loop in addition to the start/finish line at mile 3.  The aid table at miles 5.2 and 8.1 will have Coke, Gatorade and water.  Runners are encouraged to bring and share a favorite food item for the aid table at the start/finish line.

Can I bring my dog?

Yes, but dogs must be on a leash while at Mount Agamenticus per Town ordinance.

What do I do with my trash?

Please carry all wrappers, gel packaging, etc., back to the start/finish line where there will be a trash can. It is important to keep the trails clear of all litter so that we can continue to hold this event every year.

Are the trails closed for the race?

No. The trails are open to everyone on race day. Be considerate to other users. You do NOT have a right of way.

Do I need to do anything on race day?

All participants must sign a liability waiver on race morning before the start.

Is there a cut-off time?

There is no official finish cut-off time, but you should train for and plan to finish within 10 hours. It is very important to let the race volunteers know if you leave without completing the full 50K so your distance and time can be recorded accordingly and we can keep track of who is still out on the course.

Where do I park?

There is parking on the summit. Follow race volunteer instructions when you arrive.

What is available at the cookout? Should I bring something?

The race organizers will be donating hamburgers, hotdogs and veggie burgers as well as rolls, condiments, watermelon, ice and various salty snacks.  Please bring a side dish or dessert to share with everybody.

Can you recommend local accommodations?

To be added.

Where can I find out the results?

Official results will be sent within one or two days after the race to all registered runners who provide their e-mail addresses and also posted on this website.  Results will NOT be posted on Coolrunning.com or Ultrasignup.com.

What happens if the weather is bad on race day?

Postponement of the race is unlikely due to weather. If it is deemed necessary, an e-mail will be sent to registered runners and the website will be updated with race information.
